Today was a lazy day around the house for us. It was fun to just hang out at home and not have anything that we had to do. We spent the day playing the Wii and some board games this morning and afternoon. He is undefeated in "Trouble" even though I was doing everything I could to break his undefeated streak :)
This evening we got out the Hot Wheels cars and track and playing with all of the different configurations that we could come up with. It is amazing to see the joy on his face. As I have said before we are seeing more and more of him, of his true personality. We sat on the couch with him this evening and talked to him. It is sometimes a bit difficult for him not to act silly and just answer Yes to every question we ask but I love getting to know him. He is a very special boy and I have seen how smart he is as he builds things with legos, or created hot wheels tracks. You can see him thinking about the entire process and how it is all going to work together and be perfect. As we sit and talk it makes me wonder as we sit and talk to him every night, how many more kids like him are there in L@tvia. It brings about 1000 questions to mind that I would love to ask him but can't. My heart breaks for the unknown that he holds inside. We have truly been blessed by having him in our house for Christmas.
It looks like roller skating is on the agenda for tomorrow. I am sure that will produce many falls and laughs. I am going to guess that he is going to be the best roller skater in our family!
