Good evening, I thought I might start out this evening clarifying a bit of last nights post. When we were asking what he wanted for Christmas, we were not prying or even trying to get anything deep out of him. We were actually looking for something like a toy car or a ball, something that could be wrapped up and put under the tree.
Now onto today- Today has been another full day. It started with Church where we sang some Christmas Carols. I really enjoyed looking over at him standing next to Linda seeing him able to sing along with the two songs that he knew.
As you could imagine since today was the first day for us to be at church with him, there were a few people that wanted to talk to us and see how things were going.
After church was over it was awesome to see how he just fit in. If you were new to Church this week and you had gone down stairs after the service you would not have known that there was a boy there from L@tvia, and that he did not speak English. Thank you for all of the Kids at church that made him feel welcome. We have a new four square player among us!
After Church we went to my moms house for Christmas with my family. Once again it was very cool to see him slip right in with all of the other kids. We opened presents and he got very excited about getting a baseball glove and ball. So what would any boy want to do but go outside and play catch. Luckily for him we were thinking and brought Caden's glove as well so they could play together.
I loved seeing him around other people today, especially when they get to see his personality shining through
Today was a pretty long day. On the way home I saw the two boys laying against each other sleeping in the back seat when i looked back!
Another good day in the books. I can not believe how time is flying. It seems like just yesterday that we were picking him up at the airport.
