When we started this journey I thought about first just starting a page on Facebook, but I thought that there are probably many people that may not have Facebook and I did not want to limit who could follow us if they did not want to get a Facebook Username. So I decided to create a blog. I think the hardest thing about starting the blog was finding a name for it. We settled on one and started posting.
You will notice the green states in the map above. These are the states in which at least 1 person has viewed and read our blog. I find it simply amazing that by putting our thoughts on a page and hitting publish they can be read by people all over the country just like that. We hope that this blog raises awareness for New Horizons for Children as well as raising awareness to the many orphans around the word that are in need of a forever family. One of the things that touched me from our training session was a video that was played. It was the testimony of adopted son of the Hosting Director for New Horizons. He said that when you get to about age 10, orphans loose hope of ever being adopted, and New Horizons is trying to give those kids hope again.
We are down to exactly 5 days from the time that I am posting this!
